“if a japanese washi lamp was made with modern day materials, what would that look like?”

this question ruled my mind for months, pushed by my professors to create a lamp for the modern age that could use materials and form in an unique way.

follwing my exploration into flatpack design with my chair project “jhair”,
I was able to push the uniqe language of flatpack products into lighting with inspiration from japanese origami folding techniques as well as cinch tightening systems using climbing paracord.

you can now find this project being sold at conoe design under ad&c.
